Yessica e Diego sono coltivatori di caffè di quarta generazione. La storia della loro famiglia è iniziata con il bisnonno, che decise di coltivare caffè per garantirsi la sopravvivenza, dopo averne intuito la redditività. In seguito, il nonno portò avanti l’attività, mentre la moglie si dedicava alla commercializzazione del prodotto. Insieme, divennero i primi acquirenti locali per la Federazione Nazionale dei Coltivatori di Caffè: lui acquistava il caffè spolpato dagli agricoltori vicini per poi rivenderlo alla Federazione. Con la crescita dell’attività, altri membri della famiglia si unirono all’impresa, tra cui gli zii di Yessica e il loro stesso padre.

Yessica and Diego are fourth-generation coffee growers. Their family story began with their great-grandfather, who decided to cultivate coffee to secure a livelihood after recognizing its profitability. Later, their grandfather carried on the business, while his wife handled the marketing of the product. Together, they became the first local buyers for the National Federation of Coffee Growers: he would purchase depulped coffee from neighboring farmers and then resell it to the Federation. As the business grew, other family members joined the enterprise, including Yessica’s uncles and their own father.
